A Gist on The Chinese Zodiac Tattoo Horse

It is natural for us people to be curious of our astrological signs whether it is the western astrological signs of Libra, Scorpio, Gemini, etc., or the Chinese zodiac signs such as horse, tiger, dragon, rat, etc. The willingness to know what sign symbolizes our personality is one of our natural desires. And also in search of this, we become more aware of what trait or characteristics do we have. Sometimes we find ourselves agreeing to the searched zodiac sign to the extent that we wanted to show the world that 'this is my sign and I flaunt those qualities that my sign possess'. There are many ways of showing it to the crowd and one of which is putting on a tattoo.

The Chinese Zodiac Tattoo Horse is one of the Chinese symbols of the Chinese astrology. Inking the figure of a horse or its corresponding Chinese language can be both attractive.

In China, in its prehistoric time, they merely symbolized speed and power, for some of the ancient gods travels and appears with this animal. In this early times, have also combined the horse in the snake and dragon for they all possess a symbolism of power. The Chinese knows what signs are they under because they believed that before they take their journey in life they should consult first their Chinese astrological sign. If you are born in the year of the horse you might be high-spirited person and energetic but quick tempered. You might as well be a kind of person who is humorous but intelligent.

Numerous people took the Chinese symbol of a horse as their tattoo because they assumed that they hold those qualities of a zodiac sign horse even they are not born in the years 1942, 1954, 1966, 1978, 1990, 2002.

Each of the Chinese zodiac sign has a corresponding element and it can either be a fire, earth, wood, water and metal. However the animal horse is patterned in the natural element of fire. For it shows characteristics like a fire of being independent, confident, determined, flexible but impatient. That is why if you chose to have a Chinese zodiac tattoo horse you can have it designed with a fire, or burning hairs or running into a fire. You can play with the designs of your tattoo as long as the meaning and representation of it, both in animal form and in Chinese language illustration, remains.

Fashionable Tattoo History

Fashion is most often mistaken to just be made up by the style of clothes you wear or the accessories you choose to add to your outfits. Fashion can also be mistaken as being trendy and having a hot hair styles. While these can be an accurate description about fashion it doesn't give the full understanding of what fashion completely encompasses. Fashion is all about the appearance and message that you proclaim from the clothes, accessories, hair style and trendy clothes you wear.

The Indian (Asian) culture promotes the wearing of a dot on women's foreheads which is called the 'bindi'. This is very similar to the same kind of body painting that is prevalent in other countries like Egypt; which they use a thing called kohl to make their eyes look more attractive. While these two forms of body art are cultural expressions of beauty there has been another form of body art which is gaining popularity to do the same in which the kohl and bindi do: tattoos

The use of tattoo has been around for many, many years, some would say almost since the existence of mankind have people been tattooing themselves or branding their livestock or slaves. Tattoos have been found in the tombs of the Egyptian princes' and also among some of the mummies of young girls. Archeologists have found these accounts but still deduct that the origin of the tattoo actually originated more in the European continent.

Egyptians have used the tattoo as a tool to identify the individual's religion or tribe. The Romans and the Greeks, tattooed themselves as slaves and this served as a form of punishment to them. Hindus (an Indian religion) used a temporary tattoo called 'henna' to celebrate marriages and also other occasions. This practice of using Henna is also popular in the middle-eastern countries. Such practices are still prevalent in many parts of the world in either prominent or subtle way.

The tattoo has become more fashionable and is something that can help you to present a beautiful appearance and also give direct message to other about who you are and what you are all about. The rich history that tattoo have make it even one of the best ways you can be fashionable in todays culture.

My New Dragon Tattoo

Ok so I just got back about an hour ago from a tattoo artist I know and trust. I had been wanting to get a dragon tattoo for some time now on my calf but wasn't really happy with the typical tattoo flash art I had seen. And being a girl I take getting any new tattoo very seriously. I did some research.

First I had to decide what type of dragon. I never realized there was so many variations of a dragon. Throughout recorded history we have written and drawn pictures about dragons. Many of our modern day religions have dragons in their beliefs. Whether these mythical creatures actually existed, were legends passed down from sightings of the last dinosaurs, or were just stories to excite and scare who knows. Anyway I looked two of the standard dragons for my tattoo.

The Chinese Dragon. Exhibiting the mystique and beauty of the orient these graceful serpentine dragons come in an abundance of colors and shapes. Some have wings, some fly without them. Many were considered to be holy beings which appeared to help mankind in their times of needs. I found that some didn't even look like what I had always envisioned a dragon to be. Many were covered with fur and feathers instead of scales. But all were beautiful and had individual meaning to the people of China.

The Medieval Dragon. Ok here was my idea of a dragon. Being an avid online fantasy gamer these were the dragons I had encountered. Huge, scaled, winged, fire-breathing creatures that struck dread into the heart of the masses. These were the foes of shining knights and powerful wizards for centuries past.

But what about a combination of the two? Nowhere I looked could I find a tattoo of one of each of these legendary beasts, the Chinese and the Medieval Dragon, together or locked in battle. Last year I had subscribed to an online database of thousands of tattoos for me to research and download. After some great suggestions on the forums there and a merging of a couple tattoos I had a unique and one of a kind dragon tat just for me!
